Monarch Academy

Family Engagement

Family is the most important part of any child’s academic growth. They are the ones with the child the most, and therefore hold the strongest bonds. Here at Monarch Academy, we strive to not only nurture your child’s STEA2M passions in the classroom, but also when they are outside of it. The best ways a parent working with Monarch Academy can ensure their child’s continued success beyond the classroom is through a healthy lifestyle, balanced relationships, and our academic toolkit.

The program actively involves parents and the broader community in supporting students’ reading, math, and STEA2M career development. It encourages open communication, provides resources for at-home learning, and organizes parent workshops to enhance parents’ understanding of instructional strategies and ways to support their child’s academic progress.

In order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, parents will learn about the fundamentals of nutrition, how to prepare healthy meals, and short fitness routines to encourage healthy living. It’s simple, healthy living = better brain health, and the stronger your child’s physical and mental health is, the better they are set up for success.

While it is important for parents to build stronger relationships with their child, they must also remember to build stronger relationships with themselves. Monarch Academy understands the importance of a healthy balance between the relationship a parent has with their child and the one they have with each other and themselves. To maintain that balance, Monarch Academy has created Parents’ Night Out. During Parents’ Night Out, parents enjoy a night out while students are engaged with structured organized play.  Students learn the value of working together and building strong relationships with each other.

The final way that parents can continue their child’s growth outside the classroom is through our academic toolkit. This toolkit provides math and reading resources for Pre-K -8th grade to promote learning with the entire family unit.
